The Lysander Piano Trio, a winner of the 2012 Concert Artists Guild Victor Elmaleh Competition, has been praised by the Strad for its “…incredible ensemble, passionate playing, articulate and imaginative ideas and wide palette of colours.” These qualities have made the Trio a standout at other competitions, with top honors at the 2010 Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition, the 2011 Coleman Chamber Ensemble Competition (Grand Prize), and the 2011 J. C. Arriaga Chamber Music Competition (First Prize).

2017-18 Season Preview
The Trio is looking forward to a busy 2017-18 season! It begins with a return to Minneapolis for a special performance of Tchaikovsky's grand Piano Trio at the Museum of Russian Art. Other highlights include the group's debut at The Kravis Center for the Performing Arts in Palm Beach, a continued collaboration with eminent clarinetist Charles Neidich in Iowa and Nebraska, Beethoven Triple Concerto in Wyoming, and recording sessions for the group's new CD featuring works premiered by Lysander by Jennifer Higdon, Sofia Belimova, Jakub Ciupinski, Gilad Cohen, William David Cooper, and Reinaldo Moya.
The Trio's debut CD "After A Dream" (2014, CAG Records, VIctor Elmaleh Collection) continues to receive critical attention including a feature in the New York Times Classical Playlist praising the ensemble's "polished and spirited" playing.
